Measuring sustainability and performance

A company is truly sustainable if it is able to measure its sustainability performance evolution. This provides benefits in terms of brand reputation, distinctive company positioning and also in terms of increased economic value of the company’s intangible assets. Being a sustainable company allows greater access to capital, attracts more investors, and can earn a lower rate of interest.

Through our SI Rating solution we offer the company a tool that measures, monitors and communicates sustainability, assessing the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance impacts and highlighting how it is contributing to all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to which it is contributing

Sustainability Reporting

In addition to measuring sustainability impacts, the company has to report the results achieved and the improvements made with respect to the objectives set in the strategic plans to its stakeholders and also to comply with Consob regulations if the company is listed on the Italian stock exchange. Sustainability Communication

The process of communicating sustainability achievements and initiatives externally must be carried out with the support of experts in the field to avoid the dissemination of messages that appear to be effective but in reality conceal erroneous content and statements, entering into the phenomenon of green washing. This phenomenon could lead to the company having to manage crisis management operations that would ultimately bring the company into disrepute instead of strengthening the brand.
